Number of Hours for the Level 4 Home Care Package

Based on the service that you choose for your overall care, the level 4 package is capable of offering around 13-14 hours of assistance every week. These hours tend to be flexible. Therefore, you are able to adjust the care plan to suit your diverse needs. Funding Provided

Usually, the Australian Government offers $61,440.45 throughout the year for a Level 4 Home Care Package for the elderly. This is the highest level of funding among all other levels. Your income will not affect your eligibility for this package. Still, you might be asked to complete the financial assessment to determine whether or not you will contribute toward the cost of your overall care. 

The My Aged Care assessment team determines your overall contributions. These could be:

  • Basic Daily Fee: Some providers might charge this.
  • Income-tested Care Fees: This fee amount is calculated by Services Australia. The amount is calculated depending on your income.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Older adults above 65 years of age (50+ for First Nations individuals) requiring high-level support to be independent at home.
  • Younger individuals with some disability and whose care needs are not fulfilled by other services.
